About Love to Ride

Empowering schools and students to make a positive environmental impact through sustainable transportation choices.

Our mission

Let's make every trip to school safe, fun, and healthy.

Love to Ride motivates parents and students to choose sustainable ways to get to school by making it easy, fun, and rewarding.

Making every trip count

Through an engaging, challenge-based platform, schools can make active travel easy, fun, and rewarding. Students track their journeys, celebrate progress, and build everyday habits—from biking and walking to scooting and public transport.

Every trip counts. And together, those small choices add up to cleaner air, healthier students, and lasting behaviour change that extends far beyond the school gate.

Why it works

A structured challenge framework that turns active travel into a whole-school activity.

Competitive fun

Classes compete in friendly challenges to promote sustainable transportation habits.

Community building

Bring schools and students together around a common goal of environmental responsibility.

Environmental impact

Every logged activity contributes to reducing carbon emissions and promoting green transportation.

Goal achievement

Set targets and track progress towards building lasting sustainable transportation habits.

How it works

From sign-up to leaderboard in a few simple steps.

1

Join a challenge

Schools/classes choose to participate and promote it to kids and parents.

2

Submission guidelines

How submission windows work

  • Weekly Submissions: You can submit weekly logs from the Monday that week starts, up until midnight Sunday after that week ends.
  • Daily Submissions: You can submit daily logs for any weekday (Monday–Friday) up until midnight Sunday of that same week.
  • No Future Dates: You cannot submit logs for weeks or days that haven't started yet.
💡 Example: If you want to log activities for the week of Monday, March 4th through Friday March 8th, you can submit anytime from Monday March 4th up until midnight Sunday March 10th.

What counts as sustainable transportation?

These are the default modes we track — and we can adapt them to suit your school or region's preferences.

Walking

The most common active travel mode

Biking / Cycling

Powered by pedals, great for longer trips

Scooting

A fun and fast way to get around

Public Transport

Buses, trains, trams and more

We can support any mode your school or region is interested in — just ask.

Making a real impact

Every sustainable transportation choice logged in Love to Ride represents a step towards reducing carbon emissions, improving air quality, and building healthier communities. Together, we're not just tracking activities — we're building habits that will benefit our planet for generations to come.
